Went to the Ronald McDonald house in Phoenix and served dinner.

Kaylie's mom and dad (Christine & Robert) spent about a month

there while Kaylie was in the hospital.

We wanted to give a little back to those that gave so much to us.

Off to State Wrestling

Kurtis qualified to go to the State wrestling by winning 1st in his weight class in the regional tournament. The Yuma Daily Sun wrote a nice article about him. Check it out!

Dan Skousen

Dan Skousen

Dan Skousen, 60, passed away surrounded by family and friends on Tuesday, February 2, 2010. He is the son of Klien Kimball and Elizabeth Griffith Skousen and has ten brothers and sisters.

Dan grew up in Chandler, Arizona where he graduated from Chandler High in 1967. He went on to graduate from Brigham Young University with a degree in Agriculture Economics. He farmed in the Hyder area for over 36 years raising crops, cattle, and children. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in the church there in many positions, including Branch President for 18 years and scoutmaster. For ten years, Dan served on the Sentinel Elementary School Board. Dan and his wife Teresa, were blessed with seven remarkable children: Daniel (Kimberley), Troy (Jennifer), Kevin (Elizabeth), Tracy, Clark, Darrell (Breanna), and Aaron and nine grandchildren. He is a loved and respected husband, father, grandfather, brother and community leader.

A visitation will be held from 6-8 pm on Friday, February 12 at Bueler Mortuary, 14 W. Hulet Dr., Chandler. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Saturday, February 13 at the LDS Hyder Branch.

I am now working on getting the trim work done. It seems like miles of base board. I have been painting the casings around the windows & doors. After I get the casing painted I need to paint the baseboards & doors then put them up. I have one more shower to tile in the basement and a backsplash to tile in the laundry room. I then grout two showers and the backsplashes to finish the tile work. After that I will have shelving to do and then hopefully carpet and then moving day. Maybe the end is really in sight.

Geek-ville

I think I have entered Geek-ville.

I now own a laptop.

Sorry to disappoint the Mac users-but I thought I would try windows one more time.

The learning curve was a bit much for me right now.

Maybe I can blog a little more often now.
